Restaurant Pasir Bogak 高佬海鲜饭店, Pangkor Island

Initially we wanted to have dinner at this one and only restaurant, selling chicken rice, at the Pangkor town..but it was too early for the shop to operate, so the taxi driver recommended us a seafood restaurant at Pasir Bogak - Restaurant Pasir Bogak 高佬海鲜饭店

Hubby said since we had a simple dinner yesterday night (cup noodle & sandwiches), so we gonna ate sumptuous dinner tonight..We ordered 6 dishes..food was satisfactory..and the price was about the same as Klang price..

奶油虾膏
马来风光

3D2N Family Trip - Pangkor Island Beach Resort - Part 2

22.3.2012
I didn't really sleep well as Ian, kept making noise and I had to rock him to sleep..Nonetheless, I was ready for our Island Tour today..
view from our room
Sleepy Daddy
We had breakfast at the Resort..breakfast was so so only..one note here was that you gotta beware of the wild monkeys at the Resort..the monkeys tend to snatch your belongings that you left on the table/chair etc and chances of getting back, I think would be mild..

Hornbill and peachocks everywhere

After breakfast, we took a rest in our room before our Island tour at 3pm..You just need to inform the Resort and they will help to arrange a taxi van for you..fare was RM70 for return trip..(you can also take the taxi to the Pangkor town for RM20/trip)

Pangkor Island was a small town..road was quite narrow..that's why you hardly see cars on the island..most of the people here travel by motorcycle..It was convenient to rent motorcycle here..I think about RM20/day..according to the taxi driver, there were about 18,000+ people on the island and 80% of the them were fisherman..

We had dinner at a restaurant in Pasir Bogak before returning back to the Resort..(will blog separately on this)..

Today was our last day on the Island..Happy moments always passed fast..

After breakfast, we packed up and checked out to catch the 12.30pm ferry..This round, we took the Bidor toll exit way to go back to Klang and the journey was shorter..We stopped by Bidor for Duck leg noodle before heading home too!

Souvenirs from Pangkor

Had a bowl of duck leg noodles in Bidor

I thanked hubby for this 3D2N family trip..though it was just Cuti-Cuti Malaysia, but all of us had a wonderful moments and I am sure that when the children grew up, they will treasure these memories!

3D2N Family Trip - Pangkor Island Beach Resort - Part 1

21/3/12
Since our last family outing to Penang in Feb'12, I was very much looking forward to our next trip to Pangkor! It was my first time to Pangkor but second time for hubby..

We left for Lumut jetty around 10.30am from Klang and it took us almost 3.5hrs to reach our destination..we took the North South Expressway, heading towards Ipoh and exit at Gopeng toll..then turn right and continue the journey heading towards Batu Gajah - Seri Iskandar - Lumut..luckily, both children were quite co-operative in the car and the journey was smooth..(alternatively, you can take the Bidor toll exit, continue the journey via the trunk road all the way to Lumut by following the sign board towards Pangkor Island Beach Resort or "Pelabuhan Lumut". Look out for signboard indicating "Teluk Intan" and "Sitiawan" and "Pulau Pangkor".)

We took the 3.45pm ferry, a short 30mins ferry journey from the jetty to the Pangkor Island Beach Resort's (PIBR) private jetty and the fare was RM19.00/pax, to and fro..Abby was pretty excited as this was her first time traveling in a boat..then from the private jetty, the PIBR bus will take you straight to the resort (about 5mins drive)..

We booked the Pacific Wing room..great sea view and comfy bed! We spent the rest of the evening at the beach and pool..The beach was quite clean and has smooth white sand that was gentle to the feet when we walked on it..However, Abby was too afraid to walk near the sea and was crying for help! She was complaining that her clothes and feet were wet (she was also scare of hot sun!)..so funny..

Ian exploring the bed..
Abby holding tight to Daddy's hand..afraid to go to the beach

Then, we took the children to the pool..surprisingly this time, Ian was not afraid of the water.. (he was afraid to go into the pool last round in Penang)..Ian had a great time playing in the pool with Daddy while Abby, the timid one, crying once again! Nonetheless, all of us had fun!

After light dinner, we took a walk around the resort..There were many Hornbills and Peacocks at the Resort..We also played 2 games of pool in the lounge..Both hubby and I had an enjoyable games while Abby, happily eating her chips and drinking fruit punch..

Night time here was really cool ang quiet..good place to sleep!
