Legal jokes

A man went to his lawyer and told him, "My neighbour owes me $500 and he doesn't want to pay up. What should I do?"

"Do you have any proof?", asked the lawyer.

"Nope," replied the man.

"Okay, then write him a letter asking him for the $1,000 he owes you,"
said the lawyer.

"But it's only $500!" replied the man.

"Precisely, that's what he will reply and we will have the proof we need," said the lawyer.

The professor of a Contract Law class asked one of his better students, "If you were to give someone an orange, how would you go about it?"

The student replied, "Here's an orange."

The professor was outraged."No! No! Think like a lawyer!"

The student then replied, "Ok. I will tell him - "I hereby give and convey to you all and singular, my estate and interests, rights, claim, title and advantages of and in, said orange, together with all its rind, juice, pulp and seeds, and all rights and advantages with
full power to bite, cut, freeze and otherwise eat, the same, or give the same away with and without the pulp, juice, rind and seeds,
anything herein before and hereinafter or in any deed, or deeds,
instruments of whatever nature or kind whatsoever to the contrary in
anywise notwithstanding.

A dog ran into a butcher shop and grabbed a roast off the counter.
Fortunately, the butcher recognised the dog as belonging to a
neighbour of his. The neighbour happened to be a lawyer. Incensed at
the theft, the butcher called up his neighbour and said, "Hey, if your
dog stole a roast from my butcher shop, would you be liable for the
cost of the meat?"

The lawyer replied, "Of course, how much was the roast?"

"$7.98."

A few days later the butcher received a cheque in the mail for $7.98.
Attached to it was an invoice that read : 'Legal Consultation Service:
$150.

The lawyer's son wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, so he
went to law school. He graduated with Honours, and then went home to
join his father's legal firm.

At the end of his first day at work he rushed into his father's
office, and said, "Father, you know what, in one day I managed to
solve the accident case that you've been working on for 10 years!"

His father responded : " You idiot, we lived on the funding of that
case for 10 years!"

Abby FIRST time on stage!

On 13.5.12,  we celebrated Parents' Day in church..and the Sunday School children were requested to present songs during the service..hence, for the past one week, I have been singing the songs repeatedly to Abby, hoping that she could catch the rhythm and lyrics and would be able to sing on stage!

Praise God that Abby didn't let us down..she was the youngest among the rest..though she couldn't really sing the whole song, but I was proud of her for having the courage to go up the stage and sang in front of the congregation..well done Abby!

Happy Mother's Day 2012

First Mother's Day card from Abby & Ian
(Sunday School craftwork)

This was my 3rd Mother's Day celebration..actually..for the past 2 years, Mother's day was just a normal day and we didn't have big celebration..but this year, I protested to hubby and requested him to organise something for me..hehe..(coz for the last 2 years, I had prepared gifts for him)..and his answer was, "Haiya, you knew guys ler..not good at all these things.." sigh..

Anyway, we went out for dinner at Secret Recipe..As usual, hubby ordered his Cordon Bleu Chicken set and I tried the Chicken Parmagiana set..though it was a simple dinner, but we had a great time together..guessed no matter where you are, where you go, what you are doing..as long as we do it together as a family - this is HAPPINESS!

with my cutest boy

Ian loved fries, just liked his sister

Do you think they look alike?

Papa's precious child

Mama's precious child (kids staring at the yummylicious cakes)

I thanked God for Abby and Ian..both of them really brightened up my life, especially seeing them growing day by day, learning new things and occasionally surprise you with unexpected things..pray that for the many Mother's Day to come, we will always celebrate together as a family!

Sweet sweet kisses from Ian

Ian is now 1 year old+ and he is a fast learner..Sometimes I was amazed by how much a 1 yr old child could learn and understand..People said it was the milk powder that they drink..full of 'N' times of DHA that made kids nowadays smarter than our times..anyway..lately Ian surprised us by knowing how to kiss us when he heard the comamnd 'kiss'...hehe..probably because he seen Papa always kiss Mama; Papa/Mama kisses Abby/Ian..Ian's kiss certainly made our heart melt and you could see how happy I was in the video!
