It has been 6 months since we sent Abby to Kindy this year..I still remembered the very first day when I sent her to Kindy, she was so scare and as usual, crying, not reluctant to go inside the class..Luckily, the teachers were experienced and they just asked me to leave and they would know how to handle her..Thank God, she began to like going to Kindy everyday and indeed, learnt a lot in Kindy, in terms of languages, words, vocabularies and also, she could mixed well with her friends.
Abby has her very first "exam" on mid June this year..Teachers gave some guidelines to parents 1 month earlier so that parents could help to prepare their kids for the exam..I was actually quite tension after reading the guidelines..when I was in Kindy last time, we did not have such thing as exam! Nowadays, even pre-school also so advanced..Well..hubby gave me an assignment, to ensure Abby score well in her upcoming exam!
Abby didn't let us down..she scored pretty good in her exam..she scored 100% in 4 papers (English, BM, Science & Mathematics), 96% in Phonics (made a careless mistake) and 84% in Chinese..
I was quite happy with her results..but Hubby, haha..he was very funny..when Abby's teacher asked him to sign on a paper (to acknowledge her results), he went and browsed through Abby's classmates' results and made some comparisons..Apparently, Abby's results ranked No. 6 (there were 8 kids in her class)..So kiasu ler..(just kidding, I knew Hubby was equally happy with Abby's performance)
As promised earlier, Hubby will reward Abby if she scored an average of 95% in her exam and hehe..I also got rewarded! Hopefully we will see improvements in Abby's 2nd term assessment.
